CIW Event in NYC: March 1st.

Join us on Thursday, March 1st for a presentation on:

Farmworkers’ Grassroots Resistance in the US: Human Rights, Migration, and Globalization

The Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) is a grassroots worker organization made up of over 3,000 members largely of Mexican, Guatemalan, and Haitian origin working in the agricultural and other low-wage industries in southwest Florida. The CIW is an award-winning example of grassroots resistance to the harsh labor and living standards immigrant workers face. This presentation is an opportunity for students and community members to learn how they can join in the struggle for labor and human rights for immigrant workers.
